The CA House is a beautiful and welcoming building on Penn’s campus. It is a home away from
home for Penn students and a great place to study, hang out, grab a meal, hold a meeting or
attend one of the many programs we offer. Wireless internet is available throughout the house.
We are open Monday through Friday from 10am-6pm, but are often here for evening events and meetings. Feel free to call us at 215-746-6350 if you want to make sure someone is here to let you in. If you are interested in using the building for a student organization meeting or event contact us to see if there is availability.
The Great Room is a beautiful room furnished with stained glass windows, a gorgeous mural, comfortable chairs and couches, a fireplace, a Steinway piano, and a widescreen TV. It is a great meeting space for groups of 35 people or less.
We invite you to use this beautiful and serene space in the CA House for prayer, meditation or the occasional nap! Enjoy the colorful murals and the opportunity for quiet time in the midst of Penn’s busy campus.
We have a lovely kitchen where we prepare meals for our community dinners, lunch and other events. There are usually snacks and leftovers in the fridge that we are happy to share with students. Student groups holding events in the building are free to use the kitchen.
Murals by Sam Maitin '51, adorn the Great Room and Meditation Room. Sam was a talented and acclaimed mixed media artist who found a welcoming home at the Christian Association when he arrived on Penn's campus in 1946. He remained committed to the CA for nearly 60 years.
See the Penn Gazette’s article, Sam Maitin’s Sistine Chapel , for more information.
The CA has two beautiful pianos, one in the great room and one in the basement, which we invite you to play. Stop on by and fill the house with beautiful music.
