What We Do


We gather for weekly meals, Bible studies, book groups. We also serve our local community, go out on social outings, and have retreats. Here’s some highlights of what we do, check out our calendar to find out about special events coming up.

Weekly Gatherings (resuming September 2019):

  • Community Dinner and Bible Study: Wednesdays at 6:30pm (dinner) and 7:30pm (Bible Study)
  • Grad Student Book Group: Thursdays at 12pm
  • Drop-by for lunch: Fridays from 12-2pm
  • Interfaith Book Group: Tuesdays from 5-6pm, starting Sept 17
  • First Friday Multi-Faith Movies and Munchies: First Friday of the month at 7pm

Dana How Scholars Mentoring Program

We partner with Penn’s Upward Bound program to mentor West Philadelphia high school students. 


Slanguage (meets through summer)

Slanguage is a free class for international students, their spouses, and other international community members designed to create a space to help them improve their English skills and allow them to ask questions. The class meets Tuesdays from 2:30 – 4:30, and includes discussion of current events, music, and a time for questions. You can visit their Facegroup to learn more.

Queer Christian Fellowship

QCF is a student ministry of the CA created to allow students a place to explore the intersection of their faith and sexuality. They have a variety of gatherings over the course of the semester. For more information or to join the listserv, contact pennqcf@gmail.com.
